How to setup and Use FaceTime to Make Video Calls on the iPad 3

FaceTime, a simple and honest feature, free over Wi-Fi  video calling, such a feature which lets you view the user on the other side of the conversation, using your device(iPhone, iPad) front camera or back camera.

FaceTime is a feature to enhance the video calling experience, developed by Apple Inc, only for the iOS devices and MAC OS X 10.6.6 and higher. FaceTime Camera also recognized as the iSight Camera.

Setting up FaceTime for the first time

Setting FaceTime for the first time is not difficult at all. FaceTime requires an Email address to proceed regularly; this is normally done quiet effortlessly. Work your way through the steps below, it will guide you in the making of an Email address: –

Step 1:- You can view the app on the home screen of your new iPad, double tap and open the FaceTime icon.

Step 2:- Create an account by tapping on the Create new account icon if you are using apple products for the first time. Or Log into the Facetime using your Apple ID or your iCloud ID.

Step 3:- As soon as your account is set up or if you have logged in, you have a choice of using an Email ID for the usage of FaceTime from your existing Email account or any other you would like to associate with FaceTime.

When using iPad after successfully completing the steps above, you need to make sure FaceTime has been enabled, Now, to make that happen you need to follow the steps below.

Step 1:- Find your setting icon, on your home screen of your device.

Step 2:- Find the FaceTime icon in the settings list and tap on it.

Step 3:- Turn the switch to the ‘ON’ position.  (Make sure FaceTime is working in setting)

Once you do this, Facetime will be enabled, and you can make free long distance video and audio calls to your friends and family

Try FaceTime Yourself

Step 1:- Open up Facetime.

Step 2:- Choose a user who is already on Facetime, permission will be asked from the other person before the call is picked up. Be patient. FaceTime allows you to call other mobile numbers too, just like Skype.
Once the user picks up your call, you can start chatting away. So this is pretty simple stuff. No hard work.

Accepting a call is simple too, tap on Accept button to answer, or slide your finger across the iPad if it’s locked.
Great options will be given to you when using FaceTime; you can shift your camera to front or back, or having an option of making a smaller window.
