How to use and boot into safe mode on windows 8 for troubleshooting

Safe mode is considered as the most common option or a way to troubleshoot your PC. If you go through the past, for a long period of time, many of us can boot our PCs by simply pressing F8 key from keyboard. But as the next generation of Microsoft windows operating system has just arrived in the market, you won’t find anymore to simply boot your computer by pressing F8 key from your keyboard. This all has been changed in the windows 8 and its mode of automatic repair. But still the question arises that how to boot your system into safe mode by using windows 8, in case of if you really want safe mode.
In windows 8, you can still have safe mode option to boot your system or troubleshoot various problems or you can say repair your computer. However, it is underlying very deep into the windows 8 recovery options. Whereas, by hitting the F8 key as you know will boot your system into the automatic recovery mode. But still you can manually access the options related to recovery by simply pressing the combination of shift + F8 keys.

Now, lastly you are required to press the restart button.

It is just like a magic for you, when you computer reboots you will be able find it boot into the safe mode from the same common looking advance boot options.

How can you get to the Safe Mode within Windows 8
Now, you have the second option, to get into the safe mode within windows 8. However, this option requires your system to be booted already into Windows 8. Simply pressing the combination of keys Win + R and then typing “msconfig” in the run box. After that you need to hit the enter key from your keyboard. Now, just switch over to the boot tab, and then simply click on the checkbox related to Safe Boot.

However, you can have the options to select the type of safe mode you want to boot your computer. All three options are listed below.
Minimal – It is considered as the normal safe mode.
Alternate Shell – It is considered as the safe mode with command prompt.
Network – It is considered as the safe mode with networking.
Once you have selected the option you want to boot your system, and then simply click on the Ok button in order to restart your computer.

Now, after restart, you computer will be booted automatically into the safe mode. Below screenshot shows the same.

Now, if you have restarted your computer, you will then just keep getting booted your system into the safe mode. So, in order to stop this process, you need to open msconfig and then uncheck the safe boot option. Do not forget to hit the ok button.

Lastly, restart your computer.
